National Scholarship Portal Registration
- Visit the NSP homepage.
- Click the options button on the top left.
- Select ‘Registered Institutes on NSP’ to verify if your institution is listed.
- If not registered, request your institution to register on the portal.
- Visit www.scholarships.gov.in Dashboard.
- Click the ‘Students’ tab and then the ‘Login’ button under OTR (One Time Registration).
- Click ‘Register’ and read the guidelines carefully.
- Enter your mobile number, click on ‘Get OTP‘, and verify with the Captcha Code.
- Enter the OTP received, and click ‘Verify’ to proceed.
- Fill in your Aadhaar number (student’s or parent’s) and click on ‘Get OTP‘ again to verify.
- Complete the personal details (mother’s name, father’s name, email ID), and click ‘Finish’.
- Download the OTR mobile app for face authentication to complete the registration process.
National Scholarship Portal Login
- Go to NSP website scholarships.gov.in.
- Click the login button to begin your scholarship application.
- Enter the application ID and password sent to your registered number.
- Complete face authentication on the OTR mobile app.
How to Change the Password
- Once logged in successfully, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Verify the OTP.
- You will be redirected to a page to update your password.
- Change the password and proceed.

How to Apply for a Scholarship on National Scholarship Portal
- Login to the NSP Portal and go to the Applicant’s Dashboard.
- Click on ‘Application Form’ to begin the application process.
- Enter your registration details, academic details, and basic details.
- Click ‘Save & Continue’ to proceed.
- Provide contact details, scheme specifics, and upload necessary documents.
- Review your information by clicking ‘Save as Draft’.

National Scholarship Portal (NSP) 2024-25 – Apply through Mobile App
The Government of India launched the ‘National Scholarship Portal Mobile App’ in 2018 to streamline the scholarship application process for students.
- Students can download the NSP mobile app from the Google Play Store directly onto their mobile devices.
- The NSP mobile app is also accessible within the ‘UMANG‘ app. If students have UMANG installed, they can apply for scholarships through the NSP app by registering.
- Log in using your credentials (username and password).
- Browse through the available scholarships and select the one that matches your eligibility criteria.
- Enter Accurate personal details, educational background, and other required information.
- Submit the application form once you have verified all details.
Checking NSP Scholarship Status
NSP Scholarship Application Status:
- Visit the official NSP website or use the NSP Status Login Link.
- Select the Academic Year and choose between Fresh or Renewal application.
- Enter your Application ID.
- Click the “Submit” button to check your application status.
NSP Payment Status:
- Visit the official NSP website or use the direct link provided.
- Enter your Bank Name and Account Number OR enter your NSP Application ID.
- Click on the Search button to check your payment status.
